This wine is a blend of Chenin Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne and Grenache Blanc. The Chenin Blanc adds typical yellow apple and stone-fruit notes, while the Roussane, Grenache blanc and Viognier add complexity, richness, floral notes and white peach. This wine is ready to drink now, but will age well for 5 to 8 years. Leenders Baviaan white blend is named after the mischievous baviaan, meaning baboon in Dutch, who once enjoyed raiding the prized Company's Gardens' fruit under the midnight glow of the full moon.That is, until Leenders kept guard and identified the culprits as he watched them share each others late-night delights.
